Zirkonite sculpture

The Zirkonite Sculpture is a high-performance multilayer zirconia disc developed for dental restorations. It combines strength and esthetics through a built-in gradient design that transitions naturally from cervical strength to incisal translucency, making it suitable for crowns, bridges, and full-arch prosthetics without requiring cutbacks.

Zirkonite Sculpture is a multilayer dental zirconia material engineered to deliver both durability and natural-looking esthetics in a single disc. Unlike traditional zirconia blocks with uniform composition, Sculpture incorporates an advanced 8-layer gradient structure with seven transitional layers that smoothly blend mechanical performance and optical properties.

At the cervical region, it uses a mix of high-strength zirconia formulations (typically 5Y, 4Y, and 3Y yttria-stabilized zirconia) to achieve excellent flexural strength suitable for high-load situations — such as full-arch restorations and posterior bridges. Moving toward the incisal edge, the material increases translucency (up to ~43–57 %) to mimic natural enamel appearance, resulting in lifelike restorations without extensive cutbacks or layering steps.

This design simplifies laboratory workflows: technicians can mill and sinter the disc, then apply simple stain and glaze to finalize esthetics — avoiding complex layering protocols while achieving cosmetics comparable to layered ceramics.

Key features

  • Multilayer Gradient Design

Seamless blending of mechanical and optical properties from cervical base to incisal edge, reducing the need for manual layering or cutbacks.

  • High Strength

Up to ~1200 MPa in the cervical zone helps ensure durability and fracture resistance for full-arch prosthetics and high-load restorations.

  • Natural Esthetics

Translucency range (~43–57 %) closely mimics natural enamel light transmission for highly esthetic final restorations.

  • Simplified Workflow

Built-in esthetic gradient and polish/glaze-ready surface reduce laboratory processing time and complexity.

  • Versatile Applications

Suitable for crowns, multi-unit bridges, and full-arch prosthetics, offering a balance of strength and esthetics in one material.
